I'm having the similar issues on my setup: Macbook Pro, Yosemite, Unity Pro 5 beta.
I'm testing from a new project, first importing core assets, followed by the VR assets (and also tried importing just the VR assets as you've suggested)
Console logs the following right after the initial import:

I did notice the following error shows up consistently across the various demo scenes in the assets package:
Couldn't open Assets/Plugins/LeapCSharp.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libLeapCSharp.dylib, error: dlopen(Assets/Plugins/LeapCSharp.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libLeapCSharp.dylib, 2): no suitable image found. Did find:
Assets/Plugins/LeapCSharp.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libLeapCSharp.dylib: code signature invalid for 'Assets/Plugins/LeapCSharp.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libLeapCSharp.dylib'
Any ideas/suggestions?
I have older builds where I DIY'ed my OVR and LM controllers together, and they have worked fine.
