Thanks for reaching out to us. I think using the Leap Motion Controller in school is a great idea, especially if you are going to use Free Form. Free Form is one of the first really exciting executions of hand control using the Leap Motion Controller. You can use the application to create 3D models of scientific or engineering structures. For example you can create a simple DNA strand for reference and use it as a study tool. You even have the option to print out your creation through the "3D Print/Send to Sculpteo Option" if you would like to have a physical representation.
