Hi Unity Folks,
We've discovered a compatibility issue with Unity 4.6.2 and the Leap plug-in. While we investigate remedies, we recommend that you stick with 4.6.1 for now. I will keep you guys updated on this thread as I receive information.
Your patience is appreciated. Let me know if you have any questions.
A quick update on this – we've provided Unity with the details of the problem and are looking to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Stay tuned.
thanks. been using v 4.6.1 for rapid prototyping with the virtual desktop plugin to put the game screen on my oculus.
Unity 4.6.2 and Unity 5 editor support would be great. Thanks everyone.,
keep on keeping on.
Are there any issues present in Unity 4.6.3 or can we upgrade?
We haven't yet completed our QA on 4.6.3 + Leap assets, but we'll post in here when we have confirmation one way or the other.
Any news on the QA of "Unity Pro VR Asset v2.2.2.24469" for Unit 4.6.3? Would be really good to know if I can get rid of these 4.6.2 related bugs in my project by upgrading.
Sadly, it appears that the bug has carried over into 4.6.3. However, Unity has made progress, as the editor no longer crashes -- the DLLs simply don't load completely, resulting in incorrect behavior.
Any word on when we can expect an update on the Unity Assets to work with 4.6.3 and 5.x?
Still a couple of roadblocks on the horizon, but stay tuned! @Penndrageist
This worked for me on 5.0.0f4 (64bit Personal Edition):Unity 5.0.0f4 64bit(Personal) Using Leap Motion
Hey all, the official Unity 5 asset package is now available: https://community.leapmotion.com/t/official-unity-5-assets/2740 This also means that older packages for Unity 4.6 are deprecated and archived on the developer portal.
