Hey everyone,
Since yesterday, we’ve heard lots of great questions from devs about the VR Developer Mount, which we’ve collected on our blog. (Protip: always be sure to enable top-down tracking in the Leap Motion Control Panel!) Many people asked whether they might be able to 3D print the mount, so we’re making the CAD file available to the community. You can download them now on Thingiverse and GrabCAD.
UPDATE: The new universal mount, which includes support for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift CV1, is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1589212
A couple of important notes: When creating your mount, be sure to use high-resolution printing for the best results. You’ll need to use double-sided adhesive to attach the mount to your VR headset.
Our goal with the VR Developer Mount is to make it easy for you to experiment with VR -- using a consistent placement and angle. We’re happy to make the CAD file available so that more developers can have access to top-down tracking functionality.
