Hi Burke, I wasn't able to reproduce the issue with just Stardock Start8 installed, here's what I tried:
- Installed Leap Motion software, then installed Start8
- Uninstalled and re-installed LM software with Start8 already present
- Installed and ran Duck-n-Kill for several minutes
This was performed without Avast Internet Security installed. I installed Avast Pro and encountered no issues. But when I installed Avast Internet Security, I wasn't able to run most Leap Motion applications, as you experienced before.
Had you uninstalled or disabled Avast when you ran into the Start8 issues? I'm going to reach out again to Avast to get some help resolving these problems, as well as try to find a configuration that won't interfere with the LM software.
